While covering many topics, it leaves room to build upon with creativity and guidance from the Holy Spirit, to adapt to any cultural context. In the months since the training it has been easy to train others and multiply”. Tym F

What people say
“Through Foundations For Full Nets in 2023, we were trained in how to disciple new believers in an unreached context. It was simple, and to our surprise, effective on the field. We now feel far more confident and equipped for our context in South East Asia”. ~ A & N, Bali
“The training expanded my understanding about the biblical basis and framework of “movements”. It also provided practical tools for equipping my community and applying what I have learned. I was impacted by the testimonies of movements now multiplying among Unreached People Groups worldwide. I now have faith to see “a movement” commence in our unreached Asian context”. ~ Gemma G.

Costs

- What does the cost not include?
- Only one meal a day will be provided for five days of each week. Morning and afternoon break snacks are also provided (not including Saturday and Sunday). Why..?
- Other meals are intentionally not included. The reason is we want participants to go out into the community to find food and develop relationships where locals eat. There are many options. There are lots of young people and they are keen to practice their English and talk with foreigners. This will give an opportunity to put the training into practice. Many Indonesians eat at small and some large street side food stalls each day.
- The cost of meals depends on your appetite and preferences of food types. You may choose to eat at your accomodation also. Food vendors are within the area. The cost of eating a meal is around $3 to $6 USD per meal.
- $130 USD is a suggested total additional amount that you could spend on meals over the 19 day course period.

Rej Mack – Indonesia
Foundations for Full Nets in Unreached People Groups (UPGs) has been born from the pioneering of movements of salvation and church multiplication in South East Asia – resulting in more than 80,000 new baptised believers in several unreached people groups.
The design of this course comes from years of experience by personnel serving in UPGs. Their experience of failures and lack of clarity led them to discover fruitful practices and approaches. Input from other seasoned practitioners and mentoring complimented this. Behind all this though was an ongoing study and application of God’s Word, especially from the book of Acts.
Why this training module?
Within my organisation, YWAM, I am observing a wider awakening about the necessity to reach the remaining unreached peoples of the world with the gospel of Jesus. Particularly so among Bibleless People Groups needing oral Bible translation or those without access to existing scriptures.
I hold an apostolic passion to see millions of new believers and thousands of new fellowships started among Unreached People Groups – resulting in movements of fellowships (Disciple Making Movements) and the transformation of communities in spheres of society. This passion and desire to see his Great Commission accomplished is not mine, it comes from Jesus, the author of faith.
In order to achieve such a big vision, we must know what the core personal and team practices are that catalyse movements of salvation and fellowships in an unreached population segment.
Key features of “Foundations for Full Nets in UPGs”.
- The course addresses “what happens next” after making available God’s Word in an unreached people group context through Oral Bible Translation and End Bible Poverty Now initiatives.
- The course equips people with approaches and skills in the core personal and team practices required to catalyse movements of salvation and church multiplication in an unreached population segment.
- The three-week foundation course can be expanded or be built upon to form a much longer training module.
- The course is anchored to certain missiological “first principles” for fruitfulness that must be mastered when seeking to reach a UPG. Such as:
- What should be done with new believers – in an unreached people group?
- What is an ecclesia (gathered ones/church) – according to the context, and how do these multiply with as few barriers as possible in practice and leadership in a UPG?
- Who are the most effective people to reach an entire unreached community? Local new believers are the best fit. They are already contextualised.
Therefore, the course equips far-culture, near-culture and in-culture workers with practical answers to the above “first principle” questions.
- The core training methodology is based on a rigorous study of scripture, especially the book of Acts. From this, daily routine field skills and approaches are modelled and developed for working in a UPG. Case studies and readings compliment this.
- Participants will regularly be expected to engage with an accessible nearby community to practice learning points either using a translator or engaging with English speakers.
- The course will focus on developing the person as the primary method (that’s you), rather than the accuracy of certain methods and strategies, important as they are in reaching a UPG.
Activating people takes precedence over mastery of a method. God uses people who are filled with his Holy Spirit and who act with apostolic passion and action, more than He uses the accuracy of methods, strategies or materials. - The course content will be structured and rolled out around a three-point framework that works interchangeably, not necessarily sequentially.
- The Context – Where to go and who to reach. Know the field.
- The End Vision – Defining what are the big picture desired outcomes for a focus context.
- The Path (field approach) – what needs to be done to catalyze the desired outcomes in the context.
Course Content – Foundations for Full Nets in UPGs.
The three-point training content below will be delivered interchangeably in parallel with a comprehensive study of the book of Acts, case studies and selected readings. It is NOT delivered sequentially following the explanatory list below.
